Encon offers Merchants Choice at NMBS

One of the highlights of the Merchant industry calendar, the NMBS show, never disappoints and this year was no exception.

On Wednesday 5th April, the packed Ricoh arena played host to a range of manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, all taking the opportunity to speak directly to their customers, showcase new projects and get a feel for the shape of the market.

Encon Insulation was excited to return for another years as exhibitors, following a successful show in 2016. Taking the Merchant Choice initiative back to the NMBS this year, Encon brought members of its dedicated merchant team to demonstrate the company’s ongoing commitment to its merchant customers.

The stand, which was also manned by Encon’s Merchant development director, Mike Beard – a well known face in the industry, featured an enticing range of incentives for delegates, including jam packed goody bags and a 2% rebate on all products ordered on the day.

Further enhancing the stand, Encon also teamed up with Actis Insulation. As well as offering a fantastic 10% rebate on Actis Hybrid products, visitors were also introduced to the ‘Beat the Team’ installation competition. A mini rig offered participants the opportunity to test their time against the Actis team to be in with a chance of winning a PS4, a prize which was awarded to Darren at Blewers for his fast fitting.


The busy exhibition, which featured a record number of entrants and exhibitors, demonstrated the growth, confidence and enthusiasm in the industry and served as an excellent platform to find out more about the changing needs of the merchant customer.

Summarising the event, Mike Beard stated, ‘shows like the NMBS are such  a valuable platform for a distributor. It provides the perfect place to showcase how much we can offer our customers above and beyond simple delivery. In our conversations today, we have been able to demonstrate our technical knowledge, breadth of expertise, range of products and above all, determination to add value to our customers.’
