On Thursday 7 September, 42 teams and their cars will set off from Dover on the Pavestone Rally 2017. The rally takes place over 4 days, travelling through 10 countries en route to Monte Carlo. This year’s event is fundraising for two very worthwhile charities, the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
James Rowlands, Regional Sales Director, is rallying this year as a member of the BMF Young Merchants team (rally car number 11). Also in the car are Glenn Paddison from MKM, Danny Harbidge from Huws Gray and James Spillane from the BMF. They will be driving their reasonably priced car (kindly bought by the BMF for under £500) to Nice wearing fancy dress and completing daily challenges.
The gruelling 4 day route will take them from Dover to Belgium and Luxembourg before heading through Germany and Switzerland to Liechtenstein. From there they go through Austria and into Italy before driving back into France and finishing in Monte Carlo.
There is tremendous industry support for the event and hopefully it will beat last year’s fundraising total of £60k.
